Problem Note 35906: Attempts to access the remote help functionality fail with an error when the SAS® System is running in a z/OS® operating environment via a VPN tunnel
When you are connected to SAS software that is running under z/OS via a virtual private network (VPN) tunnel, the remote help functionality cannot automatically
detect the IP address of the PC. When the help cannot detect an IP address, the remote browser fails with the following error:
HELP error, connection to remote browser server failed
Because a different IP address is used every time when SAS is connected via VPN, the host value that is defined in the SAS system option HELPHOST= is incorrect, and the remote browser fails.
